It’s a new method of therapy for aging skin, one growing rapidly in popularity. Cupping on the face is inexpensive and non-invasive, serving as a safe alternative to surgery or chemical treatments. Facial cupping uses small, specially designed suction cups to lift and massage facial tissue. It is actually not a new therapy, however. Cupping therapy has been widely practiced since the fourth century, assisting users in a wide variety of health and wellness fields including joint pain, post-workout recovery, blood flow stimulation and facial rejuvenation. Facial cupping is offered at many spas, by TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practitioners and other therapists. Results come from using the cups only five minutes per session, 2-3 times per week.
